Rose Garden with Foil

Today I am sharing technique #4 with the Rose Garden framelits that come in a bundle with the Rose Garden stamp set in the new Occassions mini catalog.  Here are 2 cards using the framelits with silver foil sheets (can coordinate gold foil with ink colors of choice as well).

Card #1 (above) uses my stencil template for placement of the petals using foil sheets. If you are interested in my how-to on making your own stencil template and missed my last post, CLICK HERE

Card #2 (above) is very simple. All you need is the dteailed outline of the rose for this technique, and then you just color the petals. Remember, you are not throwing out the inside petal pieces when doing this; you are actually using them to make the black card in the first photo above (no waste YAY!)

Rose Wonder Stencil & Faux Texture Paste Techniques

Well, if you are like me, the moment I saw the Rose Wonder stamp set (140697) along with its matching framelits (140619), I saw possibilities. These can also be purchased as a bundle (140804) from the new Occassions catalog on page 18.
This is my post for the second and third techniques using this amazing set.  Technique #2 is using the framelits for a how-to on making your own stencils (card on left). Technique #3 is how to use the framelits to achieve a faux texture paste look on your projects (card on right). With this technique, you can leave your inlays white to give a clean white texture paste look or use your sponge daubers to color in the different parts. Here is a video for both techniques using this versatile set.

If you would like to recreate these cards CLICK HERE to order your supplies, or click the SHOP WITH FARIDA banner on the left hand side of this blog page.

Also, in my video I mention where I got the idea for the Press n Seal. I was unsure and said it was Jennifer McGuire, but I actually found the video from llwilson (https://youtu.be/RzJqAVsfVNU) on YouTube. She has great video on how to line up letters using this technique.
