Paper Flower Video

Fun, Fun, Fun! I have a great time making my own flowers for my projects. Adding as little or as much ink in your sponging gives a different look even if you are using the same color. These were all made using Real Red to sponge the petal edges. Another idea is to initially punch your flowers out in colored cardstock and use a contrasting ink color to sponge the petal edges.
Cardtsock: Whisper White
Ink: Real Red
Punches: Blossom, Pansy, Fancy Flower, Bird Builder
Here is the video tutorial I promised.

Once you make one flower, you will be hooked. It is such an easy-to-remember technique that you can use almost any Stampin' Up! flower punch to create these beauties. Try these out and visit my Facebook page to let me know what you think under the post for these flowers.

Paper Flowers

I love making paper flowers, and so when I got my new pansy punch I was determined to make a 3D flower with it just as I have with some of the other Stampin' Up! punches in the past. To show you a comparison, I have created 2 flowers in the photo. They each use a different punch which, as you can tell, affects the size of the flower. The technique is the same, but the size changes without you having to do anything. Stay tuned for a video tutorial on these soon.

Cardstock: Whisper White
Ink: Real Red
Tools: Blossom Punch, Pansy Punch
Accessories: Sponge Daubers, SU Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Paper Snips

Making the Most of your Thinlit Card Dies and DSP

I have been having a great time using the Stampin' Up! thinlit card dies. Today I have a video to show you how to save the circle or the label on the center of your DSP layer. In the last video, I showed you how to create the layers, but you would end up cutting out the circle or the label from the DSP. In today's video, you will see how to save the circle and label in order to be able to use the other side of the DSP for contrast on your card. These 2 cards are square cards, and all you have to do is trim the length to 4 1/4" since the width is 4 1/4" when the card is folded.

Since you only get one circle or label per cut, you will only be able to use the opposite DSP side for contrast on the front of the card OR the inside of the card. The above photos show you the front of my cards. The photos below show you how I finished the insides of the cards.

Well, here's the video on how to accomplish this. I hope you enjoy it and make use of all your DSP when making the layers for your thinlit cards.

Fabulous Brand New Product!

ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD
Item #: 133774   $19.95
  • It creates totally customizable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different color and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!
  • It's super easy to use. It looks intimidating at first glance, but when you see that all you have to do is measure for the first punch and from there you just turn and score you'll go crazy (in a good way).
  • It's small and lightweight; this makes it easy for you to take it to your events and show it. It's super portable and easy to store. It's small and light enough that you could use it while watching a soccer match, at a park, at a friend's for craft night-anywhere.
  • It even has a slick scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes.
  • It's easy to keep it all together; the stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don't have a bunch of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won't lose them!).
  • The price is terrific-especially for a tool that does so much!
  • It will be in next year's annual catalog, so it's here to stay.
